The Yoga Mat Guide

Our open cell PU mats offer the best possible circumstances for your yoga.

A mat selected for the right intended use and with the proper care given will last a very long time. The mat will show signs of wear depending on how it is used. The Origin mat is sensitive to grease and should be used with clean hands and feet, avoid using creams and lotions while practicing on them.

The open cells in our yoga mats are designed to stick to your hands and feet whilst wicking sweat and moisture away from the surface.

The different top layer types are designed to match different areas of use, the team at Yuman is always available to share their expertise and give advice on what is best for your need.

With or without alignment guides?

Our mats can be purchased with or without alignment guides.

The guidelines on the Yuman mats are made with discreet laser etched dots.

Production method

The base made from natural eco rubber is mixed with sawdust and later heat pressed together with the top PU layer in a process involving no chemicals.

Our natural rubber is certified and does not contribute to any deforestation activity.

We work in long-term trusted relationship with our producers in China and have jointly agreed upon our sustainability code of conduct together with them.

Care Guide

A yoga mat made of natural rubber may have a slight rubber smell when it’s new.

This is natural and will fade away after a couple of days.

Keep your PU yoga mat away from oil, grease and direct sunlight.

Do not fold. Roll and store in a carrying case, tube or carrying strap with the smooth PU side facing out.

For daily cleaning, you can wipe off stains with a damp cloth with soapy water then lay flat to air dry.
